Meatex Sterile Barrier System meets the EN-ISO 11607 among others. This is also a new generation non-woven combines a high strength and optimum steam penetration with excellent drapeability and a full barrier against micro-organisms.
Meatex can be delivered in standard formats: 75 x 75 cm, 90 x 90 cm, 100 x 100 cm, 120 x 120 cm and 120 x 140 cm. Nearly every combination can be delivered in many different sizes. It is also possible to obtain various types in interleaved combinations. Meatex is available in Standard blue 37 grams, Regular blue 47 grams, Heavy Duty blue 55 grams and Xtreme blue 75 grams. Meatex Regular green 47 grams is alcohol repellent.
Meatex exists of five layers polypropylene SSMMS (Spunbound, Spunbound, Meltblown, Meltblown, Spunbound), of which the two inner layers consist of microfibers that avoid the penetration of particles, blood or other fluids, and meets the existing standards and guidelines. Combitex is suitable for steam, formaldehyde and EO sterilization. The product absorbs and detaches moisture during the sterilization process and it guarantees optimal protection against the migration of bacteria after sterilization.
Meatex Sterile Barrier System has excellent fluid repelling features that prevent the migration of micro-organisms. In addition, Meatex green is resistant to isopropyl-alcohol of 70%, which makes these non-wovens suitable as packaging material, but also adequate as a sterile field in the operating theatre. Interster’s Meatex is strong and flexible. By combining the three outer layers (long polypropylene fibers) with the two inner layers, Meatex offers a high resistance in pulling and tearing strength. Meatex is both before and after sterilization memory-free due to its components and structure, the material does not fold back when the sterile set is opened. This ensures a good aseptic technique and, subsequently, prevents contamination. Meatex is suitable for steam, formaldehyde, EO and gas plasma sterilization and exceeds the existing standards.
