Our Bowie & Dick Test Pack is a Type 2 “special” indicator used to test whether air removal & steam penetration is adequate in a steam sterilizer. A Bowie & Dick test consists of a chemical indictor (CI) wrapped in special paper with a cardboard package that mimics the original 7KG textile package Bowie & Dick test. The Bowie & Dick Test Pack is used daily to test steam penetration and air removal during pre-vacuum in the sterilizer. If the process went well then the chemical indicator sheet in the package turns from blue to pink.
