The Interster Tyvek® Seal Check indicates whether the seal seam is sealed and also gives an indication of possible seal problems. The Interster Tyvek® Seal Check can be used for any laminate bag made of film/Tyvek® type 1073B in combination any seal machine.
The laminate consists of two or more film layers with different melt values. When tightly sealing the laminate bags, the film layer closest to the Tyvek® will melt and adhere to the paper first, creating a tight seal seam. If the other (outer) film layer also melts, there is a risk of an unsealed laminate pouch that no longer provides a microorganism barrier.
